Privacy Policy — Vision Test AI OptiCheck

Last updated: 29 April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Vision Test AI OptiCheck ("the App"), published by AI Motion Studio, handles information when you use it on iOS.

1. Data We Collect

None about you personally. The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, account information, identifiers, location, contacts, or analytics about you. There is no sign-up and no user account.

2. Data You Provide (Third-Party AI — Google Gemini)

The App uses Google Gemini (operated by Google LLC) to power two optional Pro features. Before any data is sent, the App shows an in-app consent screen that names Google as the recipient, lists exactly what is sent, and requires you to explicitly tap "Agree & send to Google Gemini." Nothing is transmitted until you grant consent. Consent is stored on-device and can be revoked at any time in Settings → Privacy → AI services.

How it is sent: over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+) directly from your device to https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com. We operate no intermediate server and never see, store, or log this data.

How Google uses it: Google processes the request to generate a response and handles the data under the Google Privacy Policy and the Gemini API Additional Terms. Google has confirmed equivalent data protections for paid-tier API traffic. We have configured the App to use the API in a manner consistent with these terms.

Purpose: educational analysis only — to generate a written description and general eye-care information. The output is not a diagnosis and is not a medical opinion.

3. In-App Purchases

Subscription processing is handled entirely by Apple via StoreKit. We never see or store your payment information. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/legal/privacy.

4. On-Device Storage

Test results, settings, and your subscription state are stored locally on your device (iOS UserDefaults + StoreKit). This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App. Photos taken with the AI Eye Scan are not saved to the device or to your photo library by the App; they are sent to Google for analysis and then discarded.

5. Camera

The App requests camera access for the blink-rate dry-eye monitor and the AI Eye Scan. Video frames stay on your device. For AI Eye Scan, only the single still image you confirm — and only after you tap "Agree & send to Google Gemini" on the in-app consent screen — is sent to Google for analysis. You can revoke this consent at any time in the app's privacy settings.

6. Third-Party Services

The App calls the following APIs over HTTPS:

7. Children

The App is rated 4+ but is intended as a screening aid for general use. The App is not a medical device and is not designed to diagnose any condition.

8. Analytics & Advertising

The App contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking technology of any kind.

9. Medical Disclaimer

Vision Test AI OptiCheck is a screening aid for informational purposes only. It is not a medical device, does not provide a diagnosis, and is not a substitute for professional eye-care. Always consult a qualified eye-care professional for any concern.
